Ice and rock salt are essential when making ice cream with the Ziploc bags. Use 2 sizes of Ziploc bags: a small and large one. Put the ice cream ingredients in the small Ziploc bag. Place the small bag inside the larger Ziploc bag which is filled with ice and rock salt. Seal both bags and give it a vigorous shake. It’s much easier to use an ice cream maker because all you have to do is place the ingredients inside the machine and open the switch.
