The first one gives you theoretical knowledge and understanding of how electricity works, what are the dangers a professional electrician has to face, how you can plan and manage your works, how to keep yourself safe and how to work efficiently. On the other hand the practical course, as the name suggests, will teach you how to properly fault find, how to fix, how to repair faults and how to carry out maintenance of electrical appliances. Once you have passed all the required qualifications you can start your job as an emergency electrician.
