☼ wants to kjow….Can you write a little romantic/comedy that includes these song lyrics?

November 1st, 2009 | by admin |

1. Just called to say, hello.
2. I can hear the birds….And man they don’t lie.
3. I’d like to check you for ticks
4. I’ll be your buckaroo.
5. And rain clouds hide the moon .
6. Anchors aweigh

BONUS PHRASE: When your soul embarks

(not much comedy, and I’m sorry for that Sunshine…but I write what I see in my mind….that’s all)

"Hello Marie. Wow is it a gorgeous day. I can hear the birds…and man they don’t lie. There sure are alot of them. Birds that is, in case you were wondering.
I brought you some flowers. Gentry told me that in this weather daffodils would last a while, and he’s never led me astray in the past. Let me set those in a vase for you.
All this fresh air reminds me. Paul Jefferson just called to say hello. Remember those days back in college? On the green in front of Dewey Hall, tossing the frisbee in the fresh air while our lecture notes blew all over the place unheeded? Every time Paul calls it really brings me back.
That, of course, is when we became more than friends.
I remember the group of us walking back from Dutchey’s. Remember Dutchey’s? That old hang out? Anyway, I can still see us coming back the night our relationship changed forever. I had that annoying habit of constantly scratching my head and you said "I’d like to check you for ticks." Being my usual joking yet raunchy self, I responded "You’d have to comb ALL my hairs." And who knew that not two months later you’d take me up on that very offer? I think that the both of us knew all along what we wanted, and from the very first kiss it was anchors aweigh. Man those memories.
But I didn’t come here to reminisce on THOSE days Marie. It’s just that when your soul embarks on a journey like ours have, it’s hard to shake the constant memories.
Sometimes, I look at our son Jimmy and that’s all it takes to trigger those memories all over again. It’s just that he looks so much like you. And when he grins at me and says "I’ll be your buckaroo, daddy," I want to laugh until I burst. That sounds just like something you’d say.
Ah, Marie. Just when the light seems to shine the brightest, the sun goes down and rain clouds hide the moon. I love you sweetie. And I miss you more than anything on earth. Jimmy and I both do. He wanted me to give you this toy boat, so I’m going to set it here in front of the headstone. Maybe the groundskeepers will leave it alone.
Goodbye Marie. I’ll see you next sunday….."
