Yes – but not in film.
Buckaroo Banzai was a graphic novel written by Earl Mac Rauch and W.D. Richter – They have written "Return of the Screw", which picks up where the 1984 film left off, so I’m guessing it will deal with the World Crime League. Its a 3 issue color mini series put out by Moonstone books.

IF, and that’s a pretty big word in this case, they ever make a second Buckaroo Bonzai movie.

I hear they’ll FINALLY get to make that sequel, but I wouldn’t hold your breath. First, there’s the little matter between a more dangerous criminal family…the Studio Heads!
