I love "A Boy and His Dog"–saw it upon initial release and now own the DVD (and don’t forget Jason Robards, Jr. as the town leader). "Dark Star" is also pretty cool, for its time, but "Fantastic Planet" is also high on the list.

Gads! So many to choose from!

My personal fav is Santa Clause Conquers the Martians with Pia Zidora (pardon my spelling). I tell kids that this is the worst Sci-Fi movie ever made and they hang with it for at least 45 minutes.

IF you can find it … it is a hoot! Save for the holidays!

Gotta be Dr. Buckaroo Banzai and the rockin’ Hong Kong Kavaliers!
Watching this is like taking a dive into a cultural jacuzzi–crazed, nostalgic, futuristic, a matinee-serial for the seriously warped!
It’s where I first heard the immortal, "Wherever you go, there you are.", one of the sanest pieces of meditative utterance I’ve ever heard, not to mention the greatest comeback line ever spoken by John Lithgow, "Laugh while-a you can, Monkey-Boy!"
